Monthly Coaching Program – FAQs & Enrollment

Please note that this is a monthly subscription. You will be charged each month until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time.

What is the monthly coaching program?2026-04-07T18:33:27-04:00

The monthly coaching program is an ongoing monthly coaching subscription that includes almost unlimited coaching and consulting meetings, as well as recommended services such as online assessments (i.e. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and subscriptions to Big Interview (video practice software) and Focusmate (online coworking membership).

How does payment for the monthly program work?2026-04-03T20:47:58-04:00

The monthly coaching program works like a subscription, which means that instead of paying per appointment, your credit card will be charged every month until you cancel.

For instance, if you sign up on March 5th, your first billing month will run from March 5th – April 4th. Assuming you didn’t cancel your monthly subscription before 11:59 pm on the last day of your billing month (April 4th), the payment system will then automatically charge your card first thing on April 5th and on the 5th of the each month (your billing date) thereafter.

How many hours of coaching are included each month?2026-04-07T18:35:20-04:00

You decide – while there is a minimum number of appointments per month that we recommend, there is no maximum. When urgent situations arise, you can also request or schedule additional appointments (at no extra cost). I am able to accommodate the vast majority of such requests.

To get the most out of the program, I ask clients to pre-schedule appointments at the beginning of each month:

Month 1: Five appointments (in addition to your first appointment), with more on request as needed.
Months 2 and beyond: Three to four appointments each month, with more on request as needed.

What hours are appointments available?2026-04-07T18:36:35-04:00

There are day, evening, and weekend appointments available. As evening and weekend availability is limited, I ask clients who are free during the day to schedule their routine, non-urgent appointments for weekdays before 5 pm Eastern time.

What happens when Sarah is traveling – is there some kind of “appointment availability” guarantee?2026-04-07T18:38:03-04:00

You can count on ample availability to schedule all your appointments at reasonable intervals throughout the month  – you won’t have to cluster your appointments too close together.  I always make an effort to accommodate clients who have urgent matters, such as final round interviews or negotiations, even when I am traveling. And if we are unable to meet for longer than 6 business days due to my travel, I will happily extend your current month.

Are there in-person appointments available?2026-04-07T18:36:03-04:00

Unless I am traveling, I offer in-person appointments a few days each week. And I am happy to adjust my schedule to meet non-local clients in person when they visit New York City!

Is there a fee for rescheduling an appointment with too little notice?2026-04-07T18:42:32-04:00

No. My most popular policy is that you can reschedule appointments up until the time they are due to start, if necessary, using the link in your confirmation or reminder emails. However, I do appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule an evening or weekend appointment, and a “heads up” phone call is always welcome if the cancellation is last-minute.

What should I do if something urgent arises and I need an appointment on short notice?2026-04-07T18:43:11-04:00

Between 10 am – 11 pm Eastern time, call 212-206-9929 and leave a message if you get voicemail (do not email or text). You can also request a short-notice and/or after hours appointment here, and I will get back to you with a confirmation or alternate time as soon as I can. (If I do not respond within an hour, definitely give me a call at 212-206-9929.)

What should I do if I have quick questions or documents for Sarah to review between appointments?2026-04-07T18:59:37-04:00

If something comes up between appointments, please don’t just email me your questions or documents, as I almost always have my own questions that I answered before I can give you a thoughtful, high-value response. Instead, please arrange for us to talk by:

  1. Requesting a short-notice appointment, or
  2. Calling me directly at 212-206-9929 (between 10:00 am – 10:00 pm Eastern)

However, it’s always okay to send questions and topics in advance of an appointment, either recurring or short-notice, with a subject line like: “To review during our next appointment.”

How and when can I cancel my monthly coaching program?2026-04-07T20:10:57-04:00

Process: Open any of your monthly subscription confirmation emails and click the Change Your Subscription Here button.

Timing: You can cancel your monthly coaching subscription up until 11:59 pm of the day prior to your billing date without being charged – there is no need to give notice! And if you cancel one or more days before the end of your month, you can continue booking coaching appointments through the last day of your current month.

Refunds: If you forgot to cancel before your card was charged but you haven’t had any appointments, we will refund you the full amount that we received after the payment processing fees (all but the 3-4%).

In general, if you’ve already had at least two appointments, you will be better off finishing out your current month – or making a special arrangement with us to use your remaining weeks of coaching at another time than receiving a refund.

Here is how refunds are calculated: Refund = Monthly Payment – (# coaching hours received * $ hourly coaching rate).
